Sonja lived on a biodynamic farm as a teenager, worked on a biodynamic farm for a year in the US and buys all her produce from a Demeter-licensed farm near her home in Germany. She teaches part-time at a Waldorf school and for many years has been on the board of a non-profit foundation that supports art, education and science inspired by Rudolf Steiner. Since her parents emigrated to the United States more than 30 years ago, she visits the US every year, and is very conscious of the need to bring health to the soil and to help farmers to work the land in harmony with nature, animals and people.
