Support Living Lands Trust

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.  Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."

-Margaret Mead

Volunteer

While Living Lands Trust does not have a formal volunteer program, we are small nonprofit with a broad reach and depth of work. We are always open to the energy and ideas of talented, highly motivated people who have a passion for good work at the intersection of land stewardship, local economy, and social change. Areas of expertise relevant to our work include: real estate and property law, farming/ranching/agronomy, local agricultural and food systems, small business development, information technology, marketing and communications, social media and storytelling, soil science, ecology, resilience planning, landscape design and permaculture, architecture and general contracting, financial analysis and management, and nonprofit leadership.

Personal Action

There are many things you can do to indirectly help Living Lands Trust and the good work of our partners, regenerative farmers and ranchers, and other ecological entrepreneurs. Spend more time “unplugged” and get outside. Learn about, or become more familiar, with the many different plants and animals found around your home and in your community. research the history of the land and people that have shaped your region and create a sense of place. Buy from local farm stores and artisans, start gardening, incorporating healthy foods into your diet, and request organic products at your markets. Advocate for, and support, people and ideas that protect and cherish the integrity of healthy land, water, and air that we all rely on; and restore it to a fundamental and equal right for all.
