Jess is committed to building healthy, sustainable and inclusive economies. As Chief Development Officer at Capital Link, a nonprofit community development financial institution (CDFI), she helps unlock resources for greater community health. Prior to joining Capital Link, she worked at Sunwealth, where she helped individuals, foundations and organizations put their money to work in human-centered solar projects, and at BlueHub Capital, a national CDFI, where she helped leverage over $5 billion in public and private investments in underserved communities nationwide. Jess has previously worked at The New York Times Company; as a trader on Wall Street; and in a large social services nonprofit. An active civic leader, Jess serves on boards of First Teacher and The Carrot Project, and chairs Brown University's Advisory Council on Relations with Tougaloo College, a historically black college in Mississippi. Jess lives in Newton, MA with her partner, two sons and a small flock of chickens. She is a proud CSA member at Newton Community Farm (veggies), Pioneer Valley Heritage Grain CSA (local grains), and Chestnut Farms (meat).
