Temple Wilton Map

Temple-Wilton Community Farm (TWCF) is located among the rolling hills of southern New Hampshire where the Monadnock Plateau meets the rugged coastal plains, on land that was inhabited and stewarded by Pennacook bands of the Abenaki Nation for centuries prior to European colonization and settlement. Started in 1986 with the convergence of three farmers and a community of 35 households, TWCF is one of the longest standing Community Supported Agriculture and Biodynamic farms in New England.

The Place

Over the course of two decades, with the help of the federal Farm and Ranchland Protection Program, the NH Land & Community Heritage Investment Program, the Town of Wilton, Yggdrasil Land Foundation/Living Lands Trust, and various other organizations and individuals, the farm was secured, and the Educational Community Farm was formed as a state of NH nonprofit to manage operations. In 2016, the farm was transitioned into a member-owned cooperative. TWCF is truly a collaborative and collective effort and Living Lands Trust is honored to have a modest role in this evolution of the farm. Today, TWCF has roughly 100 members and provides a broad range of products through its CSA and farm store, such as: an array of vegetables and herbs, eggs and dairy, including raw milk and artisan cheeses and yogurt produced by Abbott Hill Creamery. The farm also rents space to the Hilltop Café, which is open to the broader community and visitors alike.
